Beginning Wednesday, September 23rd the youth group will begin a 6 week sermon series on purity. The curriculum is produced by Jim Burns; if your parents would like to see it before hand, please let me know. The series isn’t just about saying “no” to sex. That should be obvious! We’re also going to talk about the challenges in keeping our hearts, thoughts, and minds pure from sexual temptation. Some of the topics include: Is sex safe, renewing your mind for God, turning your eyes from worthless things, and keeping your heart healthy.
I hope you will join us Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00!

Don’t forget!! This Saturday, October 10th, the youth group is going to hike up Table Rock. Come enjoy a little fun and fellowship. Meet at the church at 5:30 a.m. Parents can pick you up at the church by 10:00. Bring a sack breakfast with you. Come join us to watch the sun rise and spend a little time in the Word! Can you sing? Can you play an instrument? Have you ever thought about being a part of the Band and Worship Team ministry here at New Beginnings? Now is your chance to try out for the team. On October 15, 2009 at 6:30 PM we will be holding auditions for any position on the stage as well as other instruments we currently don’t have now. Last year we began a new ministry effort with 3 local elementary schools. We started with over 20 volunteers who provided support as lunch buddies, SMART / Reading buddies, and classroom helpers.
As many of you know, NBC’s vision is “Reaching the World for Jesus, One Person at a Time.” We hope to be able to continue with the mission of sharing the love of Christ by participating in this effort to provide assistance to the children, families, and schools of our community.

Now Requesting for Donations
SNL is less than two months away, November 1st. At this time we would like to request for participants of the church body to prayerfully consider donating products or services to this event; they will be used in our silent auction or raffle. We ask that the items be new or in great condition. Items such as gift cards, gift baskets, collectables, and hand-crafted items are great for this event. September 13th-15th, 2009
New Beginnings is teaming up with Mucho Gusto Mexican Kitchen for a fundraiser.
Here is how it works:
- Pick up as many Mucho Gusto Fundraising Vouchers as you’d like at the Info Counter and give them out to as many friends and family members as you possibly can.
- The Fundraising Voucher must be presented to the cashier when paying for their food items between September 13th-15th.
- NBC will recieve 25% of all purchases made with the Fundraising Voucher.
- We absolutely CANNOT hand out the flyers at the Mucho Gusto location. They will shut down our fundraiser if we do this.
All proceeds for this fundraiser will go towards supporting NBC sponsored ministry projects. Thank you for your support!
