Children’s Ministry

We exist to place special emphasis on training our children to love the Lord and follow Him!

The NBC Children’s Ministry is dedicated to serving little ones, from infancy through the 5^th grade.  We have exciting Sunday morning classes, held during our regular service time, which include children’s worship.  Classes are grouped accordingly, with consideration for age-appropriateness and children’s developmental stages.

Help Wanted

NBC’s Children’s ministry is always looking for teachers and helpers for Sunday morning classes and the nursery.  As we prepare to expand to two Sunday services, we will need a large number of volunteers to support our growing ministry.

Requirements for participating in Children’s ministry include:

• A commitment to being a disciple of Christ and spiritual growth.
• Passion and love for children.
• Minimum of 3 months regular attendance at NBC.
• Application completion, including consent for background check.
• No child endangerment charges.
• Participation in NBC’s Child Awareness course.
• Participation in Discovering NBC seminar.
• Youth can apply to be helpers in this ministry if they are 6^th grade or older.

Not a requirement for participating in Children’s ministry:

• Extensive Biblical knowledge or expertise in Biblical subject matters.

Child Awareness Course

All volunteers who work with children or youth in any capacity at NBC are required to take this class.  Attendees will learn about NBC’s church policies and safe practices for working with children.  Additionally, specific questions regarding children’s or youth ministry are addressed.  Attendees are typically asked to complete application paperwork during this class, which includes a background check consent form.
