Celebrate Recovery is continuing into its third year of serving the Rogue Valley, through New Beginnings Church. On February 24, there will be several people from various CR ministries throughout Jackson County that will be making their way to Portland (Boring, OR), for a one day seminar. This is a fantastic event that assists in providing continuous training for those interested in learning more about leadership, DNA, 7 keys to CR Leadership and other specific aspects of the CR ministries. If you have never been to a CR leadership training or event, I highly recommend you find a way to attend this “one day.”One-Day Seminar, Boring, ORPlease note that in August, another group of people, maybe including some who’ve gone to the one-day, will be going to Saddleback Church for the 21st Annual CR Summit. It’s only six months away, not too far away to begin planning financially, and perhaps requesting time off from work. The exact dates have not yet been announced, but it is usually in the second week of August. We’ll keep you posted.

We are always looking for opportunities to share in our growth and healing. One way of doing this is through the sharing of our testimonies. If you have completed the 12-steps of Celebrate Recovery, but have yet to write your testimony, please prayerfully consider doing so. If you need help, want instructions or the outline format, please ask one of our ministry or group leaders. This is a wonderful way for anyone to share in the glory of Christ and His healing power in our lives.

Don’t forget that the FIRST Friday of every month is CHIP NIGHT! On this night we meet at 5:30PM, enjoy fellowship and food, then go into our regular worship and teaching time @ 6:30PM. We give out chips to rejoice in God’s redeeming love and recognize His work in us through various time periods.

Every Friday, except the first Friday of the month (see above), we gather @ 6:30PM. We enjoy live praise and worship music together before moving into a teaching or testimony time. Then, we move into gender specific small groups, Hurts, Hang-ups & Habits (affectionately called Triple H), and substance abuse/addiction, for both men and women respectively. These small groups provide us with an awesome opportunity to simply share what we’re going through openly, with others who have experienced similar circumstances.

We also have a well staffed Celebration Station, a place for kids from 0-12, where they learn, in an age appropriate environment, how to live with an orientation towards Jesus Christ, in the midst of dysfunction. We have seen, over the last 14 months, that Celebration Station has been a wonderful addition to the CR ministry, and has helped families continue to heal.

We are currently looking for volunteers to start The Landing, a place for teenagers to learn more about the hope of Jesus Christ, in the midst of their own hurts, hang-ups & habits. We are hopeful that their will be some adults who have a heart for teens, to volunteer for this ministry, as an augmentation of Celebrate Recovery. You don’t need to be a part of CR to help out in this ministry. If you think you might be interested in helping teens with hurts, hang-ups and habits, please see the CR Ministry Leader, Craig.

We have seen this ministry grow from 5 people in 2010, to now over 50 regular attenders on Friday nights. This continues to be an incredible journey and a wonderful blessing to the body of Christ. If your life has been transformed through the ministry of CR, please don’t hesitate to tell others about it. We also encourage you to start praying about how you can give back, if you haven’t already done so.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday. Shalom & much grace- Craig
